A Los Angeles native who enjoys all things design. Her career began as in-house designer for an L.A-based gift product company, where she worked developing products and designing their packaging for retail stores across the country. In 2016 she launched her own Design Studio specializing in the creation of thoughtful, covetable designs.

Valerie founded California Minimalist as a way to offer an essential line of accessories & home goods for It Girls. A namesake blog was a natural extension to combine her interests in design, travel, beauty and authenticity.
